P & C Association

The Parent's and Citizen's Association at Russell Lea play both an active and collaborative role with the teaching staff at the Infants School.

The association meets during school terms on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm in the Assembly Hall. Meetings are well attended with members committed to providing support to the educational and social programs of the school.

Meetings provide an opportunity for parents to contribute to discussions on school issues. The Executive Committee includes a President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and two Vice Presidents.

Various other sub-committees operate within the Association and increase opportunities for parent participation. These include:

  • Fete Coordinators – they lead the school community in arranging the annual fete which is the school's main community and fund raising activity
  • Publicity and Promotions Committee – assists the school by publishing promotional material and keeping a high profile of the school in the local community
  • Uniform Committee - organises and runs the uniform shop
  • Social Committee - builds parent and community relationships
  • Fund Raising Committee – raises additional funds to support learning programs and school facilities.
