The "Lesley Pike Library" has recently undergone a refurbishment. The new layout, shelving, comfy areas, air conditioning and brightly coloured furniture makes it a truly special place where students love to visit. Library lessons are of one hour's duration each week and cover such areas as locating information, understanding and using information, and literature appreciation.
The Premier's Reading Challenge is an integral part of our Reading, Class and Library Programs. All students participate and Russell Lea is proud to have achieved 100% participation for a number of years. We are currently on the Premier's 2012 "Outstanding Schools List" for outstanding participation.
Our Library is well stocked and resourced to cater for our Early Childhood learners. New releases are constantly being added to our extensive collection.
